Solve for Tomorrow 2023

Samsung Solve for Tomorrow aims to encourage the youth to leverage their STREAM (Science, Technology, Research, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) skills and creativity to address pressing social issues. The theme for this year is “Innovate for a Better Hong Kong”. Students are free to choose their areas of expertise and focus on different local social issues. They are encouraged to apply their STREAM knowledge to design an innovative solution for their ideal Hong Kong. 

   

Our school's STEAM team, after receiving guidance and training from mentors for over half a year, stood out from nearly 400 entries with their work "Flow: Connection" and won an Merit Award. They also received Samsung products worth HK$5,000 as a prize. The details of the award are as follows:

The team aims to use this work to alleviate the emotions of teenagers, thereby identifying their needs early on. Additionally, this VR software will collaborate with youth associations to reduce cases of youth suicide. The goal is to provide teenagers with a relaxing virtual space that promotes their mental well-being and reduces negative emotions.
